Seashell

Seashell is a family storytelling app from SoberSend (registered messaging brand Matthew Stitz, Washington, USA). An account owner starts a Legend for one loved one, asks a question, and that person (the Legend) answers in their own voice. The Legend does not need an App Store account, login, or password.

You can use Seashell without SMS. Creating an account, starting a Legend, and sending a question can all be done by email. Consent to text messages is optional and is never required to complete signup, start a Legend, or send a question.

How it works

The owner names the Legend and writes a question (for example, “What is your earliest childhood memory?”).
The owner chooses how to reach them: email, SMS, or both.
The Legend opens a unique HTTPS link, consents to recording, and answers in Safari.
That recording becomes a tale on the family’s Legend.

Optional SMS program

If someone chooses texts, Seashell sends transactional family-question invitations from Matthew Stitz / Seashell. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Mobile numbers are not shared with third parties for marketing.

Optional SMS signup (not required to use the app): seashell.family/sms
